Ntombini Marrengane, State of the Cities in Africa Project Coordinator at the ACC, talks to Junaid Ahmad during a recent meeting in Cape Town about the nature of challenges facing urban Africa in the 21st century and the role of the World Bank in supporting sustainable development.

Junaid Ahmad is an economist with expertise in water and sanitation, decentralisation, service delivery and urban development. Junaid has most recently served in South Asia and is now based at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, DC. Junaid has published extensively on local governance and service delivery in South Asia and Southern Africa.  (more)
