This session will focus on the social side of urban nature. The primary input will be from a team from Urban Nature, SANBI in the form of Paula Hathorn and Tanya Layne who will talk about their engagement with communities on the Cape Flats and what we can learn from this about community engagement and perceptions on urban ecology. This session will also include input from two other researchers working in the field of society and nature in the Cape Town area.
