This is a largely academic but highly interdisciplinary group drawing from across the health sciences, planning, the CUO and the food security group that is concerned with the interface between built form and the burden of disease in greater Cape Town. The research cluster is pursuing a joint funding application with interested donors. Significantly, the group draws in non UCT academics from the Medical Research Council and the University of Stellenbosch.
