2011 SA City Studies Conference: University of Cape Town

The second South African City Studies Conference brought together scholars from accross South Africa who not only wanted to expose their work to positive critical discussion, but also wished to engage the those working in disciplines other than their own since city studies denotes and requires a collective endeavour to approach the kaleidoscopic and infinite variety of experience to which no single approach can adequately respond.  More than 70 papers were presented over a 3 day period. Contributions ranged from students to various other academics at various stages of their careers.
